Pores... why you can never really get rid of them. (soz)

First of all let me start by saying I wish this was not the case!

For as long as I can remember I have aspired to have the airbrushed perfection you see that only comes with a talented photo-shopper or an expensive filter app.

I was not immune to the BS lines from various cosmetic product lines promising to vanish my pores... until of course I studied skin at a cellular level and learned the only way you can MINIMISE (not vanish) pore size is to increase collagen and elasticity in your skin and reduce congestion.

Put it this way, the less elasticity in the skin surrounding your pores the easier it stretches when you get dirt, dead skin and oil build up in them.

So here in-lies the only real solution to minimising those annoying little craters.

Exfoliation , Deep Cleansing and Collagen stimulation.

There are many products and treatments out there to tackle any or all of these you just have to find the right one for you.

Choosing an Active Cleanser that contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids such as Lactic or Glycolic and Beta Hydroxy Acids such as Salicylic Acids are a perfect way to rid your pores of dead skin, dirt and excess oil that stretches those pores wide open.

Serums and Hydrators containing Retinol, Copper Peptides, Vitamin C and B3 and even increasing essential fatty acids in your diet will increase collagen and elastin production.
